YGO: Toon Henchmen

Here's another custom Yu-Gi-Oh! card image. This time, it's not a contest, as I'm finally making a new archetype. Sort of. As the name may clue you in, these are Toon Monsters, a type of card that I feel deserves some more love and support. I've had a lot of fun coming up with this group, and hopefully it goes over well, but until I finish them, I'll just be uploading the images here.

This one is "Toon Henchmen". See, the four monsters of this set are the evil organization of the "Toon Tyrant", the most powerful of the group, and all-around cartoonishly evil supervillain. I decided to fuse all manner of evil cartoon villain organizations into the Toon Tyrant's design and minions, and they're a mish-mash of Cobra, Hordak's Horde, MAD, THEM, the Impostors, and even bits of SPECTRE. They don't support other Toons, except the DARK ones, like Summoned Skull and Cannon Soldier, to portray this in-universe cartoon idea of the DARK Toons fighting the "good" Toons, etc. These monsters aren't meant to look as elastic as the earlier Toon monsters, instead being blended more into action cartoons and their more solid style. Also because I'm really bad at drawing dynamic, cartoony poses. Also, I intended for this archetype to be the first Toon monsters that aren't based on existing non-toon monsters, so these guys are all unique to Toon World.

I guess that's it for now. Toon Henchmen are the second-weakest of the set for ATK, but the weakest overall for DEF. Their effect, and that of their comrades, is different from the TOON norm, allowing them more flexibility on the field, but losing the Toon Monsters' coveted direct-attack ability. Instead, the "Toon Henchmen" focus on swarming and field control with the rest of your DARK Toons, and are cannon fodder for the rest of the set.

I'll try to draw these quickly, given their simplicity in design, but not at the expense of my other stuff. Enjoy!
